Confucius said “The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones”. Decluttering and organising your home might seem like a mountain to climb, but by setting yourself small, achievable goals you’ll soon make yourself proud.
Don’t think of it as one big task, try to plan a route in your mind that takes you step by step on the journey. Imagine the whole house, then break it down into rooms, then break each room down into areas and then plan a little bit of time for each area. For example:
Bedroom/Floor space/Wardrobe/Dressing Table
Choose a room, then choose an area – Bedroom/Floor space – allocate some “action” time and then when you’re ready, spend that time taking action. When you’ve done that, move to the next area and repeat. Before you know it, you’ll have that bedroom in tip-top shape.
Don’t forget, during Spring I’m offering buy-one-get-one-free for my time.
